The B&H Story
As with most small businesses, ours was started with a great idea and a lot of hard work. It began in 1984 when my parents Charles and Marjorie Payne began sewing and selling motorcycle seat covers right out of their house. The goal was to produce a product that matched the fit and quality of an original equipment seat cover. It turns out, this is exactly what they produced and motorcycle shops began to take notice. B&H took off from there.
Throughout the 1980s, sales to motorcycle shops increased and other members of the family began to join in. That’s when I started, 1986.
As we got into the 1990s the business would grow and we moved into a new shop. Things really began to change with the ability to sell directly to the customer through the internet. We set up a website and were able to reach customers anywhere. Now we have shipped to almost every country in the world.
During this time we have been able to build a substantial library of seat patterns that cover seven decades of motorcycle models. On top of that we have an expertise for doing custom replacements.
In 2015, we lost Charles. He had been fighting diabetes for years and at the end was a double amputee.
This year, 2016, I am taking over the reigns at B&H. We are working to build upon the foundation already in place and focus on providing great customer service and a quality product. We love great bikes here at B&H and hope we can help with yours.
